Synopsis:
In 2156, the last interstellar human spacecraft crashes on Earth after drifting through the cosmos for fifty years. Humanity is drawing its final breath in a post-war world, searching for answers to survival among the stars.

The ship's only passenger, the polish astronaut Krzysztof Światło, is found dead. Yet his remarkably young appearance does not match the fifty years he spent in space, suggesting he may have crossed a wormhole, experiencing time differently from those on Earth. No one can explain how he returned.

Among the last surviving filmmakers is japanese Anzu Ishiguro, known for devising an optical printing machine capable of transferring the final moments of a deceased person's visual perception directly onto 16mm film. By stimulating residual neural activity through electrical impulses, the device reconstructs the last observable images retained by the retina.

After examining the recovered footage, NASA proposes an extraordinary hypothesis: somehow, Krzysztof did not travel into humanity's future, but beyond its past — to the instant commonly described as the Big Bang, the birth of the universe. Other orbital space stations do not agree with this hypothesis.

The film you are about to see corresponds to the visual record extracted from Krzysztof's final 12 minutes of life, as recovered by Anzu Ishiguro, and archived in NASA's records as DR-2156-Δ.
