Metal Waves, 2022

Digital video projection on metal
Video: loop, PAL, black and white
Sound: stereo audio exciters attached on the screen
Screen: metal, 118 x 90 cm

The sound wave frequencies produced from a bow’s friction on a metal plate gradually destroy a video of sea waves projected on that same plate, until the new resulting image melts into the texture of the metal almost reaching its breaking point, and so unveiling an object where the optical, the hearing, the physical and the tactile start to intersect.
